Presentación de "Consorcio Rural por la Biodiversidad"
Las ovejas son las "arquitectas paisajistas" de muchos agro-ecosistemas, entre ellos la dehesa y la montaña palentina. La situación económica de la ganadería ovina es insatisfactoria, con una disminución drástica de la carga ganadera en muchas zonas que perjudica los servicios ambientales que prestan las ovejas, como la reducción del riesgo de incendios y de la erosión, y la producción de biodiversidad. Los oficios alrededor de la ganadería ovina son poco atractivos para la juventud, pero, a la vez, un porcentaje muy elevado de los jóvenes carece de cualquier tipo de formación profesional. Partiendo de esas bases, Fundación Monte Mediterráneo presenta su iniciativa en compañía de ganaderos interesados y representantes de las Consejerías de Agricultura y Pesca y de Medio Ambiente de la Junta de Andalucía, Escuela de Pastores, CAAE, OVIPOR, CORDESUR, FAECA, Universidad de Córdoba, Alcaldía de Santa Olalla del Cala y socios de la zona norte en la montaña palentina para buscar fórmulas que hagan viable y rentable la ganadería ovina a través de la trashumancia, la creación de empleo, la formación y la aportación de datos científicos relevantes para el proceso. Canal Sur emitirá un reportaje en "Tierra y Mar" el 20 de noviembre.

Schafe sind die "Landschaftsarchitekten" vieler Agro-Ökosysteme: u.a. der Dehesa und der Palentinischen Berge. Die wirtschaftliche Situation der Viehwirtaschaft mit Schafen ist unzufriedenstellend, die drastische Verringerung der Schafe beeinträchtigt die Leistungen, die die Schafe für Biodivesrität und Umwelt leisten: Verhinderung von Erosion, Feuerschutz, Produktio von Biodiversität. Die Berufe, die im Zusammenhang mit den Schafen bestehen, sind für die Jugend unattraktiv, gleichzeitig aber ist die Zahl an unausgebildeten jungen Menschen in Spanien extrem hoch. Von diesen Eckdaten ausgehend, stellte Fundación Monte Mediterráneo in Begleitung vieler Institutionen, Gruppen und Unterstützern seine Initiative vor: die Landesministerien für Landwirtschaft und Umwelt, Schäferschule, CAAE (Öko-Zertifizierer), OVIPOR, CORDESUR, FAECA (Genossenschaften), Universität Córdoba, Bürgermeisterei von Santa Olalla del Cala, Koordinatoren für die Weidegebiete im Norden. Es geht um die Suche nach einer Formel, die die Transhumanz der Schafe in die Palentinischen Berge, die Schaffung von neuen Arbeitsplätzen, Ausbildung und die Beschaffung wissenschaftlicher Daten, die für den Prozess relevant sind, ermöglichen. Sheep are the landscape architects of several agro-ecosystems, among them the "dehesa" and the Palentine mountains. The economic situation of sheep breeding is not satisfactory, the diminishment of the sheep livestock has a negative effect on the environmental services sheep provide: anti-erosion, anti-fire, etc. and the production of biodiversity. Jobs around sheep breeding are not attractive for young people, but at the same time there is a extremely elevated number of young people without any professional education. Parting from these key data, Fundación Monte Mediterráneo, accompanied by many supporters, presents the initiative: the State Ministries of Agriculture and Environment, the sheepherder school, CAAE (Organic Certifier), OVIPOR, CORSEVILLA, FAECA (Cooperatives), University of Córdoba, Lord Mayor of Santa Olalla del Cala, Coordinators for the pasture land in the Palentine mountains. We aim to find a formula to combine the "trashumancia" of the sheep to the north in summer, the creation of new jobs, the education of young people with the provision of cientific data which are important for this process.
