Hemos implantado ocho setos de vegetación para mejorar el hábitat y fomentar la biodiversidad con plantas que servirán de refugio natural y fuente de alimento a aves y pequeños mamíferos. Estos setos también desempeñarán una función protectora del suelo, ya que se han ubicado en zonas vulnerables a la erosión, con disposición perpendicular a la pendiente del terreno.
Los setos tienen 100 metros de longitud cada uno y se han protegido del ganado y de los ungulados silvestres mediante cercados con malla de luz suficientemente amplia para permitir el paso a pequeños animales como conejos y perdices.
Esta actuación se encuentra subvencionada al 80% por la Consejería de Agricultura y Pesca de la Junta de Andalucía y por la Unión Europea a través del FEADER. Ahora a cuidar los setos para que crezcan....
Zur Verbesserung des Habitat und zur Förderung der Biodiversität haben wir acht Hecken angepflanzt. Die Pflanzungen dienen als natürliches Refugium und spenden Vögeln und kleinen Säugetieren Futter. Die Hecken haben auch eine Schutzfunktion für den Boden, denn sie wurden an erosionsgefährdeten Stellen angepflanzt, quer zum Hang.
Die Hecken sind jeweils 100 m lang und sind gegen Verbiss durch Nutz- und Wildtiere durch einen grossmaschigen Zaun geschützt, so dass kleinere Tiere - wie Kaninchen und Rothühner - passieren können.
Diese Arbeiten sind mit 80% durch das Andalusische Landwirtschafts- und Umweltministerium sowie die Europäische Union über FEADER subventioniert. Jetzt gilt es, die Hecken zu pflegen, damit sie gut wachsen!
In order to improve the habitat and to increase biodiversity, we have planted eight hedges. The plants are a natural refugium and offer food to birds and small mammals. The hedges also have a protecting function for the soil: they have been planted in areas which are endangered by erosion and perpendicular to the decline.
Each hedge is about 328 feet long and is protected against browsing through life-stock or wild ungulates with a wire mesh fence, which allows small animals like rabbits and red-legged partridges to pass.
These measures have been cofinanced by the Andalusian Ministery of Agriculture and Environment and the Euopean Union (FEADER) with 80%. Now we have to take care of the plants and make them grow!
