Llegan las primeras lluvias otoñales, el ambiente se vuelve más fresco y húmedo. Nace la hierba. Las bellotas maduran en encinas y alcornoques, caen al suelo y los cerdos ibéricos las devoran con placer, impregnándose su carne del aroma a bellota. Ha comenzado la época de la montanera.

Die  "montanera" (Eichelmast) hat begonnen

Mit den ersten Regenfällen ändert sich die Umgebung....es wird frischer, die Luft feuchter.....das Gras beginnt zu wachsen. Auch die Eicheln der Stein- und Korkeichen beginnen zu reifen, fallen zu Boden und die Ibérico-Schweine machen sich daran, sie genussvoll zu verspeisen. So wird das Fleisch von dem Eichelaroma geprägt! Die "Montanera" hat begonnen!

The  "montanera" (acornfattening) has started

With the first rainfalls the environment changes.....its getting fresher, the air gets more humid...grass begins to grow. Also the acorns from the stone- and cork oaks begin to ripen and fall on the ground so that the Ibérico-pigs can start to absorb them joyfully. The "montanera" has started!
