The Grupo Operativo OVINNOVA launches a call to participate in the transhumance 2021 – sheep farmers, shepherds and those who would like to learn to be shepherds
Last Saturday, October, 17th, the second edition of the “Transhumantic Soirées” took place in Salamón (Crémenes, León) – this time, in order to say good bye to the shepherds and the herd from Francisco Morgado Galet who has been herding his sheep in the mountains of León and now goes back to Extremadura.
On the occasion of the arrival of the sheep herd from the transhumance in the north on Saturday, October 24th, an open-air workshop to promote transhumance and extensive livestock breeding will take place below the shelter of the 500 year old holm oak at the entrance of the Dehesa San Francisco.
