Even though we can’t see it, the soil is a
universe full of information.
During our fieldwork in Huelva, we collect
samples to better understand its role in ecosystem health.
So, what do we do with them afterward?
First, we sieve the soil to clean it and
divide it into portions.
In the lab, we extract nitrate and ammonium
— essential nutrients for plants.
Beneath our feet lie many of the answers to
caring for and restoring our ecosystems.
