When you don't raise expectations, you don't know whether an event will go well or badly. However, many times, that is something that you can't avoid doing, so, an activity which we thought it will develop just normally, ended up being much better than expected. It is what happened last 29th March 2025, when, at the Dehesa San Francisco, over thirty people were able to enjoy a splendid day following the itinerary that we had prepared. Even those people who couldn't be there physically, when the coverage allowed it, could join us live and barrier-free, through our Youtube channel:

Caminos Trashumantes is a project which aims to promote the value of transhumance -also barrier-free-, its culture and the traditional herding practices through sustainable touristic experiences as the one celebrated on Saturday and, in this case, the assistants could breath fresh air surrounded by a natural environment while we walked towards the area where the transhumant herd was.

Sheep sleep there in Winter, where they can enjoy a pleasant climate, use the existing pastures and live together with other animals such as retinta cows or horses. These last ones lead us to the second part of our activity: an equestrian exhibition guided by a professional rider from the town: Adrián Delgado, who was accompanied by Nerea's dance. To round off the event, after the presentation of the project Caminos Trashumantes (https://caminostrashumantes.com/) and the other one coordinated by Fundación Monte Mediterráneo, BioNNOMÍA (https://bionnomia.ecovalia.org/que-es/), we could taste local products under the shadow of the centenary holm oak. What else could we ask for? When the Sun shines, everything lights up.
