Once again,
this year, the return of the transhumant herd from Puerto de Las Pintas, in
Salamón (León), to Dehesa San Francisco (Santa Olalla del Cala), has been very
well received.
On this
occasion, the event was part of the BioNNOMÍA Project. The BioNNOMÍA Project is
committed to the creation of a management model for the development of
multifunctionality and bioeconomy in areas of high ecological value through
extensive livestock farming and, if possible, transhumance.

We are very
grateful for the citizen participation and, above all, for the collaboration of
the different people and institutions that have contributed their grain of sand
so that October 19th continues to be a date to reserve in the
calendar.
The
interventions, the exquisite organic lamb, the music, the wool workshop have
been the perfect itinerary to enjoy a sunny day in the countryside under the
centenary holm oak while remembering the importance of promoting biodiversity
and sustainable practices. And what better example of this than a herd that
contributes positively to the environment and serves as a representation of the
much-needed ecological extensive livestock activity?
Now we can only say a big THANK YOU and see
you next year!
