On such a significant date as May, 15th – Saint Isidore, the husbandman – one of the activities of the Grupo Operativo OVINNOVA will start: Francisco Morgado Galet’s almost 1.400 heads comprising merino sheep herd departs for an almost 580 km long walk on the Cañada Real Leonesa Occidental [Western Leon Royal Livestock Trail]. The arrival at the mountain meadows “Las Pintas” in Salamón, Crémenes (León) is planned for June, 13th.
Another 10.000 to 12.000 sheep are waiting to be taken to the mountain meadows of the provinces of Palencia, León and Burgos from June 20th on – organized by the Coordination Centers OVINNOVA.
