Although he is known by all of us: Zacarías Fievet is a young shepherd, born in high mountain and raised in a small village in the Pyrenees.
Zacarías has used his popularity from the programa de RTVE “Entre ovejas” in oder to advocate the extensive livestock breeding, transhumance, the figure of the shepherd and the rebound of the rural world. He also does this through his hobby, the photography, where he shows his profession, his vocation as a shepherd and invites to contemplate nature in an unhurried, relaxed and attentive way.
This shepherd, known by everybody, stages exhibitions exposiciones fotográficas based on real, contemplative and thoughtful experiences where he shows the simple life in freedom reasoned photographically and seen through the eyes of a shepherd of the 21st century. During the online meeting with Ernestine Lüdeke and Juan Luis Gázquez Guerrero from Fundación Monte Mediterráneo, Zacarías expressed his support for the Project of the Grupo Operativo Ovinnova to improve the competitivity of transhumance and especially the efforts and the work realized by the members of the consortium of the project in favor of the shepherding in high mountain with merino sheep.
