On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, German television broadcasts a documentary film series on human rights. The present documentary shows people who are living in Seville at the very edge of society.
What do we have to do with it?
Through our long cooperation with “Don Bosco Jugendhilfe Weltweit” in Beromünster, Switzerland, we came to know the key person of the documentary: Luis from Entre Amigos who belongs to the “Salesians family”. Together with him and thanks to donations from Switzerland, in February 2018, we could start a 3-years project: young people from the urban district of Seville shown in the documentary are receiving a practical training to be eco-horticulturists until January 2019; simultaneously, the whole production of the 6-hectares sized horticulture managed by Entre Amigos is being converted to organic production and a new commercializing and marketing concept will offer jobs to the trained people.
At this point, we want to thank Luis and the whole team of Entre Amigos for their good cooperation with us and their commitment to implement the Human Rights in a European city.
