Participation in the second meeting for the Project OK-Net EcoFeed organized by ITABinstitut where farmers, scientists and project partners met on September 24th and 25 in Angers, France.
They project is coordinated by IFOAM EU and financed by Horizon 2020 participating 11 partners from 9 different European countries.
The goal of the project is to help farmers and the feed industry to reach the objective of a use of 100% of organic food and of proximity for organic pig breeding. On the platform farmknowledge.org we are working on a data bank to collect knowledge from all for all.
Did you know….….that the breeding system of the Iberian pig is unique in Europe? Thanks to Ecovalia and the lectureship for Organic Livestock Breeding at the Cordoba University and the invitation to Fundación Monte Mediterráneo to participate in this challenge, we want to show the importance and the resources of the management models of agro-forestry production systems.
